Not sure what to say?

Dear Hilary and Justin, it´s the Fourth of July and naturally my thoughts turned to Hingham and the great parade and parties on Lower East Main. Googling Foster I was deeply saddened to learn that he passed away as recently as May. I was away in Portugal or l would have tried to make the funeral. Both he and Julia were very special and an important part of my life in Hingham. God bless you both, Lenis

Foster was one of my most important mentors when I transferred to the Investment area at the John Hancock. I couldn't have had a better one. Over the years we became good friends, as well as business colleagues. He was a great guy who enjoyed his life until the last couple of years. So sorry for Ginger and the rest of his family. Steve Brown

As the head of a sometimes controversial sliver of John Hancock, Foster came to my rescue with wise and kind advice so many times over the years. An authentic Prince of a Man.

sorry for your loss hillary your friend chris anderson from higham high also jesus loves everyone

So very sad Ginger. Foster was a close colleague and dear friend who shared an office with me for many years after his retirement. I could not have asked for a better office mate. Integrity could have been his middle name. He gave generously of his time and expertise to many good causes and was always the source of good advice to me. Matthild joins me in sending condolences to you and your families. Jim Morton

Foster was a dear friend and mentor over the many years we worked together at John Hancock. He also supported the several non-profit human services organizations with which I worked, including Bay Cove Human Services and Center House, as well as my volunteer work within Boston. He was a kind and generous man, who was very well liked and respected by those he worked with in the business world. His financial and investment skills and experience were outstanding and impactful. He will be...

Ginger i am saddened to read the news of Foster's passing but having experienced with my wife Janet's battle with Alzheimers when she left us it was both sad but a sense of relief that she did not have to deal with the effects of "remembering she could not remember" as she would say. Foster was a great friend of mine thru our years at Hancock. Your art still graces a wall in my house. Know that my prayers are that you find peace and the Grace to endure you loss.

Foster was a brilliant, witty, and kind person. He is an important part of John Hancock´s history and was a true professional to work with. More than anything, I so enjoyed seeing Foster in the office well into his retirement and speaking with him. A wonderful person that we truly miss.

I would like to send much love! Love Stacy
