The Cryptic Wonderful Genius.

Words cannot describe my love for this man. He taught me more than theater, Mythology and stagecraft. He taught me life. His lessons are still used in my life to this day. Thank you Mr. Cross for all you have given me. A roll of Stik-O-Peps waits for you :)

Cross family: Deepest sympathy! "Monte" remains an important memory from High School on. Although we haven't been in touch as often as we would wish I'll always recall allthe good memories and times we shared. God's speed. Frank Pope

Deepest sympathy to the Cross family. I studied drama with Mr. Cross at CLHS 1980-1984. He was such a kind man and always made everyone feel welcome. He never left anyone who wanted to be in a play out. He found something for you even if it was and appearance or one line. Thank you for all the great memories Mr. Cross. RIP

He was always the first one out on the lake in the mornings try to catch a fish. He will be missed out here

he will be missed out here at the lake

My sincerest sympathies to the family of Monte Cross. Monte was one of my favorite classmates, class of 1953 Ann Arbor High School. I appreciate reading the words that tell us of his life and career. I now understand why I liked him so much. He and I share a love of literature, theater. I always sought his company for a chat or two at class reunions. I had missed him at this last reunion. Be strong, as I know that he would want you to be. Be assured that Monte is remembered and loved...

My deepest sympathies to Foster Cross' family, friends and all those who feel the loss of this wonderful man. I can still hear his big, booming voice as he guided and directed in the Center Line High School auditorium. Or his quiet, mischievous chuckle as he suggested a donut run was in order for Greek Mythology class. Thanks for the memories Foster! May the sweet memories bring comfort to all those who feel this tremendous loss.

I remember being in a play at Ann Arbor High with Monte. He was great fun and a "good guy" early on! May his legacy live on....Marty Stockard

Monte, It was really nice talking to you a few weeks ago. Old times were the best. Lots of laughs. Kids, your dad was a great guy. We had some good times. Jim Taylor Ann Arbor High School, class of 1953.
