Age 83
Frances Ruth Abney, 83, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Although Frances will be dearly missed, her legacy of kindness and generosity will surely last for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Barnwell; mother, Vesta Barnwell; step-mother, Nadine Barnwell; brothers, Roy and Albert Barnwell; mother-in-law, Doris Abney; father-in-law, Holbert Abney; beloved son, Eddie Wayne Abney.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Abney; son, Lee (Leslie) Abney; granddaughter, Leslie Beach; grandsons, Eddie Lee Abney and Christopher Abney; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jillian, Ethan, Holden and Lukas; many beloved brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Barnwell officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside services.

What a special lady you were. I know that your kindness and love with live on in those whose lives you touched. Please accept of sincerest apology as my Mom , Judy Hawkins is very sick and wont e able to attend but her thoughts and prayers are with Dewey and the family during this difficult time.
