Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home & Crematory - Ardmore Obituary

Frances ”Ann” (Morgan) Ahern was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on March 23, 1948 to Clifford Eugene (Demp) and Edith Christine (Hunt) Morgan. She passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2019.

Ann loved Jesus, her husband, sons, significant others of her sons, granddaughter, her brother and his wife, her niece and nephew and their families.  She loved animals, especially her dogs.

Foremost, Ann was a devoted spouse, mother and grandmother. She and Jim celebrated 46 years of marriage on 10/12/2019.  Ann was a prayer warrior who covered her family and friends. She loved being a grandmother to Livi. She had plans to continue teaching her how to cook and bake over the Christmas holidays.

Ann graduated from OU and Central State University. She was a special education teacher; school counselor, psychometrist, psychologist and an administrator in Ardmore, Shawnee and Comanche school systems. She finally retired in 2013. There will be a gathering with family and friends at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Comanche beginning at 1 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2019.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Ahern; her sons, Scott and Jonathan; her brother, Ron, and sister in law, Jana Morgan; Scott’s daughter, Liviana, his girlfriend, Cydni Coffee and her daughter, Raigann; niece, Kimberly and Byron Brown, and nephew, Kevin Morgan. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Demp and her mother, Edith. Her favorite song was “I Can Only Imagine”, especially when sung by former pastor Billy Morgan, now, of Duncan.
