Not sure what to say?

I was one of her students and just thought to reach out because I wanted to thank her. She went above and beyond for me, and left a lifetime impression. I was late diagnosed ADHD. I think she recognized the signs/tendencies. She gave me the coping mechanisms that I carry with me to this day and now pass on to my students. On top of that, my parents were going through nasty court battles following a divorce, and she helped me through that. She showed me kindness and how to stay sane when...

I have known Fran most of my life, we met when I moved to the Skyler neighborhood in 1973, and have been friends since. Frannie, I will miss you more than you know, you are taking a piece of my heart with you and I feel you in mine every day. I have been blessed to be a part of your wonderfully courageous and loving life. I always admired your love you shared with Mike, of teaching, photography, butterflies and fun spirit. I treasure all the memories of times gone by...sitting at the...

I am so sorry to hear of Fran’s passing. I worked with Fran at Kellogg Elementary. She always went the extra mile for her students and had a special spot in her heart for those who were struggling. She was a good friend to all of her colleagues.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Fran touched my family in many ways over the years. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Peace to Mike and all the Burgie cousins. So sorry: Fran suffered a lot. I admired her.

So sad to read this. She taught all three of my children at Kellogg Elementary. I volunteered in her classroom a lot. She always went above and beyond for her students. She organized a teepee project that all the students in 2nd grade made. I kept them for 15 years in my dining room. Always brought back fun memories. Much love and warm thoughts to her family. She really made a positive difference in the world

Francie was my favorite cousin. We were born one month apart, and I have such fun memories of summer picnics and visits to Grandma Burgie's house. Fran was always ready for adventure, and will bring joy and laughter to Heaven, especially to her wonderful parents, Uncle Joe and Aunt Aggie. God bless and comfort Mike, Dave, Ginnie, Dick, Don and your families.

Mrs. Bean was my 2nd grade teacher and my very favorite teacher! I loved her so much and still share stories about her with my kids today. We collect caterpillars and release them in the fall at home as I remembered we did all those year's ago when I was one of her students. I know she had a lot of students over the years.... But despite that she always remembered me when I seen her. I used to come and visit her in my college years. Imyso thankful I was blessed to know her and her, fun...
