My heart goes out to the loved ones of Frances. I never met her, but I am sure I would have liked her.
Her uncle Louis Bruns was married to my aunt Millie Stevens.

Mrs. Blewer was my second grade teacher. That was about 50 years ago. Once I had a meat loaf sandwich for lunch. I didn't like meat loaf sandwiches, so I told her it was cat food. She was a kind woman, and a wise one – she didn't believe me for a second. It was a good year.

We will so miss dear Frances. When I first started attending First Baptist in Puyallup, she drove me nuts trying to get me to speak at the women's club meeting. I tried to hide from her, but that didn't work! She won in the end, and it wasn't so bad. What a character she was. And the only one who visited me when I had my foot surgery. I loved her so much!
