Fran and I got to be close friends in the late 1950's when I lived across the street, ( with my parents Bill & Eva Hines)while waiting to go to Japan to join my husband Don, who was in the Air Force. She was raising little children and I was expecting my first child. We shared many cups of coffee. I always admired her and kept in touch at Christmas for many years. She was a bright spirit.
