My dearest friend Fran has been such a great inspiration, encouragement, mentor and wonderful friend and my closest confidant for the past 30 years. I feel like I lost a part of myself. I know I will never find another friend like her; we were alike in so many ways. We met at the Supreme Court Racquetball Club back in the days when I could win a game against her. It is not very often that someone you meet for the first time feels like a long time friend after only 5 minutes. Fran, you had the ability to make that happen and though it was only but a brief moment that all of our paths crossed, you certainly left a lasting impression and memory with all of us. We are all fortunate for the moments we shared and each and every one of us is a better person today for being able to call you our friend. Thank you for the lessons on how to really live life....

We have lost the life of our office. I have known Fran since I was a baby--she was even at my baptism... We had our rocky times, but have become closer these past couple of years. She has taught me so much--in life and with our profession. She was so caring, giving, and would light up a room when she walked in. She enjoyed life and loved to have fun. I will miss working with her, and hearing her joking around with everyone and laughing most of the day (as she worked hard of course). She...

Having had the opportunity to know and play golf with Fran, with a twinkle in her eye, she jokingly would often refer to the Dalai Lama. Ironically, the Dalai Lama concludes each day with the following meditation prayer:

the world.

Even though Fran's life was shortened by illness, "A life lived well, is a life well lived". Fran's spirit...
