She was also survived by 4 nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, March 14, 2014. All I can say is that Frances would be tickled pink to know that one of her favorite doctors Dr.Gottsegen remembered her and took the time out to write a note. RIP my friend. I will miss you!

I will always remember ms, Cognevich. She was a stalwart member of Medical Records at East Jeff Hospital. She guided many a young physician, including myself, through the morass of Medical Records. God bless her and sincerest condolences to her family.

Michael, im sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for your family. I took care of your mom at St Joseph recently. She was one of my favorite patients and she knew it.

Michael,
I worked with your Mom at EJGH in the late 80s. She was truly one of a kind! I remember her always bragging about you and her family from Buras. She was a tough little lady that some of the doctors were afraid to tangle with. When we were intimidated by them, she would calmly put them in their place. Everyone knew her as Frances, with an "E". She did not like her name spelled with an "I". She will never be forgotten.
