Frances Danko

Frances Danko, 86, of Saylorsburg, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg.  She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Danko, Jr., who passed away, September 16, 2023.  

Born in Astoria, NY, September 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Grace (DeRobertis) Rizzi. 

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, where she volunteered. 

Frances is survived by a daughter, Donna Positano and her husband Frank of Saylorsburg, two sons, Joseph A. Danko, IV, and his wife Maureen of Jackson Heights, and John Danko of Rockaway Beach, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers, Marco Rizzi of West Chester, PA and Saverio Rizzi of Long Island. 

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be viewing hours Friday beginning at 2 PM until 5 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, and Saturday beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at St. Elizabeth Church.  Interment will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
