I especially want to say how much I really appreciated the love and caring Fran shared with my brother, Bill Colman, over the years that they were together. I feel that it was a pleasant time for both of them in their later years. We had many really nice times with them. Fran felt very much like a sister to me over the time we knew her. She was a very lovely lady! With my love to the family, Pat Pratt.

Dear Joanne, It was not too long ago that your family stayed at my house for your first swearing-in as Mayor of Saratoga Springs. I think often of your remarkable parents and the important values and moral lessons you caught from them. Both were impressive human beings who shared the noble lifelong work of "making space for others to grow."

My thoughts are with you Joanne . What a remarkable woman and role model
