Not sure what to say?

Fran Dutton was my coolest across-the-street neighbor on 41st Avenue in University Park, Md. I was a little kid when I knew her, and I was a bratty kid! Her daughter Karen (and I believe Sherri) were my baby sitters who had the sheer misfortune of putting up with me! I will always remember you, Fran, and Bud, for allowing me into your home! I am so sorry that I am years late in finding about your passing...I know that you are in a much better place, and I hope you are at eternal peace. Love,...

Jan, Bruce, Matt, and all of Fran's lovely family,
Our sincere sympathy on the passing of your beloved mother and grandmother. May she rest in peace for eternity! Though we've not met Fran here on this earth, we thank her for raising a beautiful daughter. Virginia will be at the memorial service tomorrow.
Love,
Virginia & Jack Grant

You called her Fran, or Mrs. Dutton. I called her Mama D, or my other mother, because that was what she was to me for 50 years, starting when my family moved to University Park in 1964.
From the very beginning, Mama D stepped up and self-lessly offered her love and support to my family. She filled in so many important gaps, starting with loving my mother when she was in distress, and letting me hang out at her home after school when my mother had gone away. Mama D taught me that I...

Oh Fran, We already miss your happy smile and loving manner, yet we know we are so blessed to have you in our lives for so many years!

Sherri and family. It sounds as if your Mother had a beautiful life. May all the happy memories make this sad time easier to bear. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jo Ann Castagnola

Fran was my Godmother and for the last forty three years she has been my friend, mentor, and inspiration. She had such a special place in my heart and I have so many wonderful memories from spending time with her. I loved her like a second mother and I know she loved and cared for me as much. I want all her family to know what a positive influence she had in my life. My thoughts are with you all.

Its a sad time, but we know Miss Fran is looking down on us & listening. I only saw her a few times, but I vividly remember that Thanksgiving dinner we had at her beautiful home on the Bay. I'm sure Fran is now as peaceful as that lovely scene.

May you rest in loving peace. My prayers go out to all who loved you. Love, Sarah Headley

mom, may these lights brighty light your way, til we see you again. love always, karen
