Fran was born on November 27, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Our Lady Help Of Christian Grammar School and Saint Saviour High School and remained a very active alumna. She was a devoted and loving wife and mom for over fifty years, and a wonderful grandmother in more recent years. Fran was a passionate and dedicated softball coach and loved by all that knew her. She loved all sports, especially baseball, basketball and volleyball. Fran loved going to the beach at Breezy Point, NY and enjoyed the pool and summer nights with her family at the Breezy Point Surf Club. She loved talking to her friends and family daily and was always there to talk and listen to those who needed her, or just to offer a good laugh! Fran was a die-hard NY Mets fan and some would even say, their Number One fan, in both good times and bad. Fran was Mama Met to all the kids and everyone admired her passion for the team. Her seat at Citifield will never be filled by a more devoted fan. Fran loved spending time with her family and her dog. Not sure what to say?

Kristin and Family,
My heart bleeds for you. I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. Kristin, my mom (Jeanette Wawrynek) went to school with your dad and sends her love and heartfelt condolences. She remembers you well from our days at Kearney. We all do because of the bright light you carry inside you and the deep voice and love you project to the world. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers.

We love and miss you.

We are so grateful for the time we got to spend together over the last few years. Also our birthday and holiday phone calls will always remain special to Ellie and I. Sincere sympathies to Joe, your daughters and their entire families. We will miss you so much! RIP Frances.

To my oldest and dearest friend, Fran. You will be missed. Love Rich. RIP

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Fran's loss is a tragedy. We spent time talking at out HS Reunion about her family, clearly she lived for them and other passions. She was a wonderful human being with a warm heart, bright, very funny. I know she will be deeply missed and hope that all who cared for and loved her will be supported by family and friends.

I was fortunate to have spent time with Fran at our 50th high school reunion. We spoke about Joe and her children and grandchildren and The Mets among our remembrances of our high school days. Fran was among the smartest in our class and she had the warmest heart. Her laugh was contagious. Her smile genuine. I will miss her kindness. That has become a rare commodity these days. She loved you so very much and I am happy that she and I reconnected before her tragic passing.

Fran DiGennaro and I often sat near each other ( alphabetical seating) in many classes at St. Saviour High School. Mostly I remember her laughter and her friendliness to her fellow classmates. We were lucky to see her again at our 50th reunion two years ago and to share the sometimes silly and sometimes heartwarming stories of our days at SSHS. While I would love to say that we hadn't changed a bit, the truth is we shared with each other the different twists and turns of life, but I do...

My condolences to Kristin and the Fallon family. I am praying God continues to comfort you during your grief and covers you with peace!! Sending my Love.
