Not sure what to say?

It's truly hard to believe that fifteen years have passed. I continue to think about Frances. I trust everyone is well. Linda

Dear Frey Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Frances's passing on Tuesday. I've always loved Frances as a family member, and I've also respected her as an individual. She was my fellow vegetarian in the family. I also remember a visit to Israel in 1997 during which Frances and I spent real quality time together. She took me to meet a family of Christian Arabs living in Jaffa who had a daughter my age. Frances was a bridge builder. I remember her as an excellent listener who took...

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved mother.
I feel fortunate that I was able to spend a little time with all of you, even if it was a few years ago already (at the wedding).
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time and I hope you find all of your wonderful memories to be comforting. Fortunately, they never go away!

Dear Family,
My thoughts are with you at this painful time. Frances created a real sense of Family in my childhood. She is in my happiest memories--visiting you in the Pacific Palisades before we moved to the States...summer afternoons in Brentwood. Her kindness and gentleness meant a lot to me, having lost my own mother at an early age. May her memory be a comfort and a blessing for you all. Love, Adam

More like family than simple neighbors across the way, Frances and Marcel have been genuine, generous, lovingkind friends. Blessed by this friendship and now deeply saddened, I extend my love and comfort to those who mourn and search for the path forward.

Dear Katherine,

It was a privilege to get to meet her and your wonderful family. May her memory be for a blessing.

Katherine,

My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow. May God bless you and keep you and your family.

I first met Frances in 1970, when she was working as a social worker in LA. From that period until her so untimely death yesterday, I felt her extraordinary concerns for the world around her, her gentleness and compassion for others and her great care and interest in animals. Franses was a doer and builder. She worked well with others and through her prodigious efforts founded and directed institutions intended to help the undertrodden. She succeeded magnificently. Her many, many friends will...

Katherine,

My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother-in-law. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Warm regards,
Diane
