Read MoreFrancis was very dear to me. I met her at Hale Village while she was dressed in character and smocking outside of her house. I inquired as to what she was doing & we became fast friends. I kept in touch with her years ago, telling her that I was smocking now. She said that her husband said it fine for her to give me a "Read Pleater" machine. I will always remember her kindness to me.
