Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home Obituary

Frances Louise Turner Hite, born in Gracey, KY October 1, 1924 to the late David R. and Naomi Turner, passed away at the Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, KY on August 20, 2016.

The Lord lifted her spirit from her earthly body, and she now walks in His heavenly garden, joined eternally with Norris G. Hite, her beloved husband with whom she shared her life for almost 64 years.

They were richly blessed with three children, Frances Wilkins (husband Joe) of Lawrenceburg, KY, Carol Kelley of Highland Heights, KY, and David Hite of Old Hickory, TN. Bringing joy to her life also were 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who lovingly called her "Gramma".

Frances was a skillful and talented homemaker, a master gardener and a creator of beautiful and unique heirloom quilts and afghans. Along with Norris, she shared a hobby of collecting and refinishing antiques to be displayed in their home.

Frances special calling in life was to help others and unselfishly volunteered her time and service to numerous organizations and worthy causes. Her most important calling, though, was as the devoted wife to Norris, a Baptist minister, walking alongside him as he pastored churches throughout Tennessee and Kentucky and on mission teams both at home and abroad. Many lives were touched and enriched by the love they personally showed to everyone and by God's love that shone through them.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY beginning at 7:00 PM, EDT. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 – 7 PM, EDT.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 26, 2016 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, 5325 Cadiz Road, Hopkinsville, KY beginning at 1:00 PM CDT.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Frances Hite are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
