Frances Estelle Doggett Hitt



Frances Estelle Doggett Hitt, age 88, of Culpeper, died on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1919 to the late Wishard Thomas Doggett and Lillie Estette Tapp.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruby Martin, of Culpeper, Dorothy Dodd, of Richmond, and Thelma Hitt, of Culpeper, and one son, Charles "Buck" Hitt, of Culpeper.

Additional survivors include six grandchildren, William Martin, Jr., Patricia Harlow, Steven Dodd, Susan O'Keefe, Brian Hitt and Chris Hitt, and seven great-grandchildren, Trey Martin, Amberly Harlow, Brianna Harlow, Jackson Dodd, Zander Dodd, Conner O'Keefe and Dillon O'Keefe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Blufford Hitt.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Va.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Atkins and the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
