Raleigh, North Carolina - Frances O. Hockaday, aged 89, passed away March 14, 2026. She was born in Angier, North Carolina to Charles and Myrtle Owen. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Benny, and her step-sister, Joy Odom, and is survived by daughter Bonnie Dean and husband Joey, son Joe, and son Ben and wife Betsy with their children, Meghan and Anna. Also surviving are brother-in-law Charles Odom and his children, Michael and Sara.
A service will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh on Monday, March 23 at 12:30 PM, with the burial at Montlawn Cemetery immediately after. The family will receive friends at 11:30 AM that day at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church. Condolences may be shared at www.brownwynnecary.com.
