CAYCE%%Services for Frances Reynolds Jeffcoat, 70, will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in the Chapel of Elmwood Cemetery & Gardens, conducted by Reverend Bill Harmon. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Monday, June 6, 2005, at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 350 Wattling Rd., West Columbia, SC 29170.
Mrs. Jeffcoat died Friday, June 3, 2005, due to complications following gall bladder surgery. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Adelle Lloyd “Peanut” Reynolds and the late Vermelle Snelgrove Reynolds. She was retired from BellSouth. Mrs. Jeffcoat was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she served as church pianist and Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is survived by her husband, David Furman Jeffcoat of Cayce; daughter and son-in-law, Maria Jeffcoat Urbanek and Charles Eugene “Chuck” Urbanek of West Columbia; two granddaughters who were the pride and joy of her life, Tristan Shea Urbanek and Braylin Elise Urbanek of West Columbia; sister, Jo Reynolds Stover of Blythewood; brother, Reverend Gene Davis Reynolds of Sheffield, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by only 14 days by her mother, Vermelle Snelgrove Reynolds and her loving feline companions, “Friend Jr.” and “Goodspeed”.
