Mrs. Frances Jenkins

Fran and I were not close friends, but we worked together a lot for many years through Republican Women and every once in a while we would have a long telephone conversation, which we both enjoyed very much.

Fran was a wonderful person. I particularly admired her for having the courage and energy to do the things I knew I should do too, but didn't! :-)

I will miss her, but I know how much she missed Bill and am glad she is with him again.

My Aunt Fran truly was a remarkable woman.I remember visiting her and Uncle Bill as a child - the backyard barbeques and playing with my cousins are wonderful memories. Her enthusiastic and positive approach to life were inspiring. She will be missed indeed. Good night, sweet lady, and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I have only known Fran for just over a year....what a wonderful, loving, fiesty woman she was. Quite a role model. We shared several "loves"...politics, reading and of course our very favorite man. Fran, you will be sorely missed by me on many levels, but mostly because I was so looking forward to spending more time with you. Rest in peace. Karen David, Althea, Jeremy, Greg...and the many, many friends Fran cultivated throughout her life...my heart aches for your loss.

I will begin by saying how hard it is to put into a few words what a wonderful woman we knew in Fran. She was our neighbor, our friend, a giver of treats, a lender of ear and one of the most beautiful people we have ever had in our lives. We will cherish always the countless moments spent sitting on her porch talking of Art, sharing vacation photos and family stories, or just sipping a glass of lemonade. Fran was always an outstanding next door neighbor to the Ulberg family. Even though I now live hundreds of miles away from Redding, my wife Pam and I always made it a point to stop by the old Parkview neighborhood to visit with Fran. Our last visit with her found us walking through her pasture on a warm sunny afternoon, reminiscing about the old days when our beloved famiy members were still with us and how things were changing. I only got to spend limited time getting to know Fran in person, however through the many stories my sister, Lana, told, it was easy to see how her daughter Kathy was such a compassionate and passionate woman. She learned it first hand through her own mother. My life has been blessed to have had them both in my life, and my heart aches less knowing they have been reunited. My sincere condolances, Tammie.

We knew Fran for many yuears and she was our dear friend - more like family. We were blessed to have her in our lives. We will truly miss her at family table celebrating holidays, birthdays, SuperBowl or just catching up over coffee..... She was such a kind and generous person.
