Frances A. Konnyu LAWRENCEVILLE Frances A. Konnyu, 85, of Lawrenceville died Friday, June 19, 2015, in Hamilton Continuing Care. Born in Trenton, Frances had lived in Hamilton for almost 50 years before moving to Lawrenceville 15 years ago. Frances graduated from Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Trenton Central High School, class of 1948. She retired from the New Jersey State Police Identification Bureau after 36 years of service. After her retirement, she went to work for NADE in Columbus. Frances was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Frances Daly Murray; sister of the late Anne Partyka and Harriet Carroll, and grandmother of the late Erica Shumard. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John, and her three daughters, Linda Appel, Susan Shumard and Jane Ruger. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Lindsey, Carlyn, Carl and Allison, and one great-granddaughter, Grace. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Kutch Funeral Home, Inc., 215 Grand St., Trenton. An Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand and Malone Streets, Trenton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 1 in Hamilton. Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family on Wednesday from 3 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 411 Adeline St., Trenton, NJ 08611. My condolences and prayers to my cousins, Uncle and family members on the passing of Aunt Frances. I have many memories of visits and overnight stays at her home growing up and of the fun filled backyard gatherings during the summer time and of course all the holiday parties. So very sorry to hear of Frances's passing. She and her sister Harriet were faithful attendees to the annual Cathedral High luncheon until Harriet's death. The twins attended CHS before going to Trenton High. They were always a delight to see and will be missed, two lovely women.
