Not sure what to say?

Dolly will be greatly missed by members of the Tropical Flowering Tree Society and myself. During the last decade, she became an important part of the planning and conduct of the Royal Poinciana Fiesta, which is South Florida's oldest continuing festival. She was a great asset to the Fiesta, especially with her outstanding planning and organizational skills, and we are happy that we formally celebrated her contributions during the 2025 Royal Poinciana Fiesta. I was also fortunate to be her...

Mrs. MacIntyre was jewel sent to the City of Opa-locka. We treasure her knowledge, wisdom and optimism for the historic preservation of out Great City. Thank you for your service.

Dolly was an indefatigable and fearless advocate for the community. She showed that maintaining continuity across generations through stewardship of our historic places nurtured a shared legacy for all South Floridians to cherish. She advanced the cause of respect for Miami's iconic places as way to respect one another and ensure local authenticity, from the humblest to the most elaborate structures as well as their neighborhoods. She didn't hesitate in the face of resistance, even when the...

This breaks my heart! What a wonderful, and lovely person we have lost. She was more than an advocate for all the right causes, she cared about you, stayed in touch, wanted to know how she could help. What mentor, what an example for what we should all try to emulate if not be. She will be missed but her example lives on in all those she has touched with her love and kindness.

Dolly, You will be sorely missed. You are the founder and leading light for historic and cultural preservation in South Florida. I am grateful for your early welcome and call for engagement when I first arrived here. Lizz

Having worked with Dolly in The Villagers organization, I have the greatest admiration for her. The descriptions Leader, Mentor, Activist, Champion of Preservation are only a few of the words that have been used to attempt to capture the essence of this incredible woman. I only wish I had taken the time to really get to know her.

Thank you, Dolly, for being one of the original pioneers of Historic Preservation in Miami! Your legacy lives on.

She was a stalwart advocate for historic preservation and public space in a city that needs more such champions.
