Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, FRANCES A. MADRID, age 93, of Las Cruces left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at her home. She was born in Albuquerque, NM to Henry and Romelia Barela Alderete. Mrs. Madrid was a homemaker and a communicant at St. Albert the Great Newman Center.

Those left to mourn her passing include a son, David Madrid of Portland, OR; two daughters, Barbara Telles (Tom), Kathy Ledesma (Ron) all of Las Cruces; two brothers, Santos Alderete also of Las Cruces, and Henry Alderete (Rosario) of Los Angeles, CA. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Kayla "La Muchachita" Ledesma, Tommy Telles, Jr., and Michelle Hernandez; five great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Madrid; a daughter, Vicky Madrid; two sisters, Emma Gamboa and Virginia Polanco.

Visitation will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina with Reverend Alex Ureña officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow In Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho where she will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will be Gregory Alderete, Oscar Lopez, Steve Madrid, Michael Alderete, Tommy Telles, Jr., and Richard Hernandez. Honorary bearers will be Ray Ostos, Santos Alderete and Henry Alderete.
