Frances Markiton Murphy

Frances Markiton Murphy, 84, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne. A native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, Frances was a self employed Beautician for 15 years. She was a member of the American Legion 296 and the VFW Post 1421. Surviving are her sons, James (Leslie) Markiton of Ft. Wayne IN, Robert (Christine) Markiton of Houston, TX, Joseph (Debbie) Markiton of Ft. Wayne and John Markiton III of Savannah, GA; daughters, Elizabeth Flood of New Haven, IN, Martha (Ronald) Huckaby of Little Elm, TX, Barbara (Jim Daffler) Noll of Cincinnati, OH; step-daughters, Patty (Les) Williams of Peoria, AZ and Kathy (Michael) Perry of Ft. Wayne; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents Samuel George and Jane Faulds Weir; first husband, John Markiton; husband, Robert C. Murphy; sister, Janie Beeke. Service is 2pm Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. Visitation Monday 12 to 2pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
