Sharing a memory, a hearsay, from our folks: Fran and her family were brought up. In Polish so that they could communicate w their grandparents. The Belanger´s, living next-door, were brought up in French so that they could communicate with their Canadian French grandparents. Our folks told us about the Popko kids (across the fence) talking to the Belanger kids, in each their native language. Amazingly, it seemed that we understood each other! (That´s what our folks would say!)

Sr Kathleen, Connie, Nancy, and Pete! I am so sorry to hear of your sister´s passing. My thoughts and my prayers are with you all, including the rest of your family! Many treasured memories of and our families as your neighbor next-door. Peg Belanger,( and JoAnne and Paul). Rest in peace, Fran!

I had the privilege of working with Fran for many years when I was a school psychology in the West Springfield Special Education Dept. She also became a friend. Just last March a group of us retired special educators, including Fran, gathered for lunch at the Boat House in South Hadley. Please access my deepest sympathies. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Fran will be sorely missed.

Please accept our sympathy on the loss of Frannie. She was an accomplished, caring person who loved her family. Sincerely, The Canata´s, Kmarie, Sal, Joe, & Chris.
