Frances invited me to her home so many times and made me feel like family every time. I will miss her very much. She was a master at making people feel comfortable. The first time I visited, she took me by the hand and showed me around the house. She stopped in front of the furniture that was significant and told me its story. She showed me her favorite jewelry and the family silver. And she did all this in an informal, offhanded way, like it was the most natural thing for me to have this...
