Frances Sheahan Obituary
Frances "Jackie" Edwina Sheahan of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully June 15, 2012. Frances was born March 10, 1924 in Vashti, TX the daughter of Joseph Lawton and Lillian Lucille (Williams) Flinn. On May 4, 1949 Frances married Drew Sheahan in Reno, NV. They later moved to Tucson, AZ and then in 1953 moved to Phoenix. Frances worked as a nurse in the operating room at St. Joseph's Hospital and then worked for North Central Anesthesiologist until she retired in 1988. Frances then continued as a volunteer at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Frances was a dedicated member of Trinity Bible Church from 1984 through 2009. Frances was a resident of Beatitudes Campus since 2008. She deeply loved her family and friends, enjoyed traveling anywhere. She was known as "Grandma" by all the children on her street. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lawton and Lillian Lucille (Williams) Flinn; brother, Philip Flinn; husband, Drew Frank Sheahan; and daughter, Patricia Jane Pratt. Survivors include sister, Louise Fine, Fort Worth, TX; sister, Tommye Vogt, Ocala, FL; brother, Harry Flinn, Bellevue, TX; son Terrence Sheahan, Phoenix, AZ; son, Shaun Sheahan and his wife Maria, Chula Vista, CA; granddaughter, Melanie Mattina, Scottsdale, AZ; grandson, Jason Sheahan, Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Drew Sheahan, Phoeinx, AZ; grandson, Jeremy Sheahan, Chula Vista, CA; grandson, Joshua Sheahan, Chula Vista, CA; two great -grandchildren Anthony and Devon. Friends of the family, Betty Radina, Sue and Julie Burgess, Janice and Ed Simpson, and Annette McIntyre. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix. A Memorial Service will follow at Trinity Bible Church, 3420 West Peoria Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85029, at 3:00 PM.
