"We loved teaching with Frances at WCA in Williamsburg. She always had a smile for everyone and was kind and encouraging. Mike and I also have great memories of Frances from church - she loved to sing and told great stories to the children. We are sad because we wll miss Frances but rejoicing with her that she is now dancing and singing with Jesus. Oh it will be great to meet her there! " Mike and Treesa Hause (Philippines)

Bill and I are so sad to hear about Frances. We have such wonderful memories of Frances and her wonderful laugh and smile. She was truly a gracious servant of her precious Savior and Lord. Her sweet family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We remember Frances with her big smile as a gentle, loving, and welcoming woman from church in Richmond and Williamsburg. We are so sorry for this loss and pray that God will hold you and comfort you, her loved family, in His arms.

Greetings in this sad time from one of your mom's Chi Omega sisters at William and Mary. Your mom always shared a bright smile with most everyone she met. She could be a little quiet, but had a great laugh. Our sorority flower is the white carnation. We all ate one during pledging. Your aunt, too. We are so sorry that your mom's life was cut short. Her light shines brightly, then and now. With love, Phyllis White Phelan, '73.

I knew Frances since her days at William and Mary. She was an inspiration to me and all who knew her. I appreciated her love and dedication to the Lord and her family and friends. She will be truly missed. I am thankful that she is now with Jesus dancing on streets of gold! (Julia, you were the best mom ever to Frances, and she loved you dearly!)

Frances was such a dear friend, and we feel this loss deeply. We treasure many memories of time spent with her over the years. She was so easy to be with and so accepting. We will always remember her gentle ways, her sense of humor, her kind heart, her constant concern for others, and her love for her family. We can't imagine how difficult it will be for you, Bill, Rebekah, & Sarah, but we know God is the God of all comfort, and we will pray for you and trust Him to come through for each of...

Mrs. Neil was my favorite teacher of all time! (She taught me at WCC) I will always remember her kind and gentle heart. May the Lord comfort her family and bless them immensly during this time.

Dear Smyth and Neal family,

The loss of Frances is shared by many friends who care and we are among them! She was very special to our family and we have such happy memories of our time in Williamsburg with her. Not only did she teach our children, join us during family fun times, she babysat too!
We want you to know that you are in our thoughts, our hearts, and in our prayers. May God's loving arms embrace and hold you close to comfort your broken hearts. The very same arms...

My prayers and thoughts are with each of you as you go through this loss!! Frances was a very special person to me the years I taught at PCA. God Bless you all!
