Read MoreFrances Spotswood was a wonderful person. I enjoyed her very much when we worked together at The Birmingham News, from 1969 to 1982. She was patient and loving with Jim and adored her children and grandchildren. I haven't seen her since moving away, but have a picture of her sweet face in my memory. She was a good reporter and a friend to everyone she met.
