Frances was born in Raymond, WA to George and Catherine Hanges. She had 3 siblings Marie, James and Nick; who have all preceded her in death.
Moving to Pittsburg, Ca in 1927 Frances graduated local schools and SF State College with a "lifetime" teaching credential. After teaching 2 years in Germany and 1 year in Vacaville she began a 46 year teaching career in the Pittsburg Unified schools. She retired in 1996. Frances was a master teacher who loved teaching.
Frances is survived by her children Robert, Cathy Caceres (Jose), George and 2 granddaughters Erin and Nicole Zumbro of Denver, CO.

I was thinking about how times have changed and teachers don't teach the way they use to & you came to mind. You were a wonderful teacher and a great inspiration!!!!
