Imet Roly with my appointment re an inguinal hernia 25 years ago. He was so easy to talk to and arranged surgery at GV Health within a fortnight.I asked him about the family photos on the wall and he spoke proudly and lovinglyof them.On leaving he remarked "Next time we meet you'll be on the operating table." "Thanks for reminding me Roly!" Hmmm. The operation was by epidural injection and I saw everything on the screen above. Fascinating! A wonderful man and great surgeon - Roly

Wonderful memories from medical student days and life long friend. Will be really missed.
