Not sure what to say?

I am the grandson of Francis Barbieri, Elias. Or as I called him, grandpa. I would do any thing it takes to bring him back, so we could do the things we used to do. I truly miss him so much.

Four years since you have passed, Frank, and the world certainly has not gotten better. I am glad that your passing did not mean that we couldn't talk; just as when you were alive and we were not together because I had left the DAO, when walking somewhere I would talk to you and we would have one of the laughing-zinger conversations we had in your office, in my office, at lunch, wherever. I cannot thank you enough for your guidance, your leadership, your warm and funny personality, your...

Frank was a wonderful guy, and I am so sorry for is passing and your grief. Frank was my Chief in the DA's Office for five wonderful years, and a friend for twenty. After I left the DAO, I would see him at Pastorius Park and other locations in Chestnut Hill and always talk with laughter and affection. May his memory be a blessing.

Frank and I met on the plane taking us to our Navy duty station in Germany. More than a good friend, he was like an older brother. We shared many fun experiences and traveled throughout Europe together. When he married Hannelore I was honored to be his best man.

Life happens and after a 38-year gap I'm so glad I was able to reconnect with this wonderful couple and enjoy their company these last few years. Rest easy, my good friend.

Dear Hannelore--Don" t know if my previous message got through so here is another one. So sad to hear about Frank-Did not know until today (CH Local) So many memories of Frank in the DAs office and Chestnut Hill lives together. See ing you two as young marrieds and your kids coming along. I remember so well his gentle personality and wonderful wit and intelligence. Hard to imagine but I gather you knew the worst. So saddened and would love to talk to you. My email is...

I am so sorry for your loss. May you gain comfort by pouring out your emotions to God in prayer. He cares for you and wants to help you during this most difficult time.

Frank was also so kind and helpful to me when I was a young prosecutor. My condolences to his family.

"I see you a shadow bright silver transcending,
With wings high uplifted to heaven ascending,
I see you slow climbing through the sky's scaffold bars
Midst a tempest of light a snowstorm of stars"
- Deepest condolences to the Barbieri Family
