Not sure what to say?

Such a kind, encouraging, and energetic man!
I was in his choirs and choral arrangement class.

CSULA 1976,1984

I had the privilege of being in his choir at Cal State LAfor 5 years and to sing in his church choirs at special concerts. His boundless joy and talent were a gift to all who had the privilege to know him. There is one less exceptional soul among us now and we all are the poorer for it, but the richer for having known him. Ron Robinson, CSLA 1968

I always tell my choirs Dr. Baxter stories. I always feel his hands on mine as I use them to bring the music to life. I feel him looking over my shoulder as I analyze a score or when I arrange or compose. I especially feel his closeness when I compose Christmas music. Dr. B and Pollyanne were my musical parents.

Francis Baxter will always be remember for the music he composed and the choruses he conducted. He touched and inspired many lives with his joyful spirit. He was on the Tian An Men Square grand review platform on one of his visits to China. I am priviledged to have been his friend and colleague.

As a 1971 graduate of music from CSULA, I remember Dr. Baxter with great fondness and admiration. He was a choral director extraordinaire and a kind and caring educator. Both he and Pollyanne were so gracious and will forever be remembered in my heart.

"Mom & Dad" attending 1993 Regional Competition of Sweet Adelines International

I'm blessed to have known you and Pollyanne for such a long time. And I remain blessed to enjoy your continued legacy through my friendship with Norman, Dawn Anne, and Anna Beth. I envision you returning to the arms of your beloved Pollyanne, and I am thankful for the mark you both have made on this world...and on my world. With...
