Not sure what to say?

Dear Helga, Trudy and Family

I am sincerely sorry to hear of your father’s death. I remember when your family first came to St. John Nottingham and you began school there. Those were some memorable times.

Your Dad was a wonderful man, greatly to be admired for his work and accomplishments. He will be missed.

Dear Helga, Trudy and your wonderful families,

Thank you for sharing such fond memories of your father. We are so glad we could attend the service of remembrance. He was a man whom I admired. I, too, loved his stories. We hold you in our thoughts and prayers in memory of Opa.

Love, Gotsch & Day

What an amazing doctor your father was! A kind, gentle man. I only wish my daughters could have a pediatrician as special as Dr. Berthold. He was a wonderful, old fashioned, family doctor. He treated myself, my three brothers, my parents, aunts, uncles and also my grandparents! Generations will remember him! Your entire family is in our thoughts.

Dr. BERTHOLD IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD, WAS THE BEST OF THE BEST. HE DELIVERED MY 3 DAUGHTERS IN THE 50'S. HE WAS THE MOST PATIENT, SYMPATHETIC, UNDERSTANDING and TIME GIVING DOCTOR OF ALL TIMES. I CAN TRULY SAY I LOVED HIM LIKE A FATHER. HE WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED. YOU WERE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM FOR A DAD.
THANK YOU DR. BERTHOLD
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE

Helga, Trudy, and families,

I have wonderful memories of visits with "Doc" and Trudy here on East 209 Street. We miss them so....they were wonderful neighbors ! Doc and I loved to reminisce about the "good old days" at Euclid Hospital, while my husband (Richard) and Trudy talked about gardening. What a wonderful couple !

I will always have fond memories of "Dr. Bert" -- my physician from birth to adulthood. I remember most his smile and consistently pleasant demeanor. And of course the Kraft Carmels in his desk drawer. Very few of us are fortunate enough to find their life's calling, but Dr. Bert undoubtedly found his. May God rest his soul. My condolences to the family.

Trudy & Helga, my sincere sympathy on the loss of your father. He truly was a remarkable man.

Dear Helga and family,

I was sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My deepest sympathy to all of you at this very difficult time.

Regards,

Kathi Duffy
