Sister Frances Maria was my Aunt Maxime. She entered the Sisters of Charity a month after my twin sister and I were born..."a treasured memory." she always said.
For more than 60 years, I knew her as loving, gentle, forgiving, generous,
brilliant, compassiionate, unselfish and faithfilled. She was loved and is cherished by my husband and children as well as our whole family.

Although I never had Sister Francis as a teacher at St. Michael's, I became good friends with her when I became an Associate of the Sisters of Charity. I spend a lot of time at Convent and saw alot of Sister Francis.
I visited Sister in the Villa a few weeks ago and knew she was ill, but never thought she would die so soon.
I am currently in Florida and was saddened when I learned of Sister's death. She was one of my favorite people and I will miss her very much.

Sister Francis taught English, caring, and a long list of intangibles in St. Michael High School I was blessed to share her friendship and love for over 60 years. She was an extraordinary woman and a wonderful friend.

As I remember she was my home room teacher. Sometimes I think back as I did recently and try to recall what I was doing each day at St. Michaels. I could see her face like it was yesterday. She heard that I could do some drawings and she had me make a big poster or sign showing a set of book ends. It was evidently book month. I believe that sign may be on one of pages of the year book. She was a good woman and she made a good impression on me as I started in St. Michaels.

Sister Francis Maria was my home room advisor in freshman year. I was out of sorts because no one else from All Saints school was in that class, and I wanted desperately to transfer to another class, where my old pals were. So I was not the easiest kid for her to handle at first. But she was firm and insisted that I stay right there and helped me get through freshman year. She was my English teacher in junior year. One day she read one of my compositions, a satirical essay, aloud to the...
