Not sure what to say?

It os ice to remember Francis once again. I never met a more gentle, kinder person in my life. As a longtime editor of the Bank's Annual Report, had turned to Francis oftn for guidance and advice. His steady hand was always forthcoming and welcome.

Francis was a kind and gentle man whom I greatly admired. I was shocked to hear of his death, but savored again the recollections of our fleeting times together over many years at the Bank.

I learned only today about Francis Colaco's passing. I did not know that he had been ill. He was a wonderful gentleman and a very good friend and colleague. I had the good fortune to have him as the public finance economist on my first World Bank mission to Egypt in 1975. Not only did he provide a first-class professional contribution, but he also inducted me gently into the workings of Bank missions and, indeed, at Bank headquarters. We continued to have many discussions after that time, and...

Dear Marie-Henriette, Antoine, and Colaco family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Francis´s passing. Please accept my condolences. May you be comforted by the many fond memories you have of him, some of which were shared at the moving Mass on Saturday, January 28. My own memories of Francis are also fond. Francis was an early boss of mine at the Bank when he was Division Chief in the Economic Analysis and Projections Department. I had also met Franicis earlier when we were both in the...

Deepest condolences, to the Colaco family. Mr. Colaco was a true gentleman, who adored his family. He was always kind. and a fabulous conversationalist. I will miss our chats and seeing him. So, very sorry for your loss. RIP Mr. Colaco Veronica stack R.N.

What a wonderful family. Francis and Marie-Henrietta were always warm, friendly, and engaging. As teachers at Sheridan School, a K - 8 School in Washington DC, we all admired the Colaco family very much. Antoine and Alain were a joy to teach and coach. Best to Marie-Henriette and Antoine. So glad to hear that a new generation of your family includes another Alain. Please take good care. Sincerely, Peter Bourne.

Inspiring, class act, Francis Colaco. Generous and gracious. What I remember about him, and I only met him briefly two times, was his aura of light. He reminded me the importance for kids to have a good teacher, develop a love of learning. He also represented a reminder of how hard work, dedication, working for the greater good of our world is a beautiful legacy. Prayers and love to the Colaco family.

Francis holds heavy influence over my life. Since I was 5 years old he inspired curiosity in me, modeled manners and respect, patience; how to be quiet, gentle, and yet bold at the same time. His inquisitiveness was every present, "Tell me a story" he would demand of me during childhood visits and then again in my adulthood as if time had stood still. He greeted my own children with the same fondness and affection I received. My life would not be the same had Francis not been in it and I am...

I was very sorry to hear about Francis. We were friends at Brown, but lost contact after we both left Brown. My deepest sympathy for your loss.
