Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Care Center Obituary

Francis L. Collins, 78, of Plymouth, MA, December 7, 2017. Despite a fierce and valiant fight, Francis (Frank) lost his 3-year battle with prostate cancer and Multiple Myeloma cancer and now is resting in peace. He leaves his fiancée of 28 years, Jeanne Lesperance of Plymouth, MA; his sister Barbara Ahern of Milton, MA; and, his brother Donald (wife Florence) Collins of Nova Scotia. Also, Barbara’s son Joseph (wife Bethany) of Medway, MA, and Jeanne’s sons Michael of Virginia, and Stephen (wife Erin and children Jake and Paige) of Marshfield, MA. A compassionate gentleman, Francis supported numerous charities and could not tolerate bullying. He thoroughly enjoyed his cats Farrah and her predecessors, ushering and attending Broadway shows, and chasing nature with Jeanne and her camera. Vacation cruises, trips to Florida and Cape Cod day trips were great until the cancers curtailed his ability to go beyond doctor’s offices, clinics, hospitals, rehabs and hospice. His professional caregivers were wonderful. In lieu of flowers, should you wish, please contribute to your charity of choice, or The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Not sure what to say?

Enjoying this beautiful tribute to a man I didnt know but was loved enough by you all to get this thoughtful memorial made. As I sit here, I can only hope that the people I leave behind miss me as much.

I didnt know him, but I am enjoying this amazing tribute done by people he obviously had an impact on. I only hope my life can leave such a mark. He was here with me for sure and by the beauty and peace we shared I can tell you he is in a wonderful wonderful place. I ONLY know of him through this bench and decided it was worthwhile to look him up as I sit beside him. Thank you!

Sending lots of healing thoughts and prayers. Keep all those memories of 28 years together always in your heart. Love to you and your family always. Brenda and Terry.

Our love and prayers to you, Jeanne! Our hearts are with you. Mimi and Birk
