Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to the Donohoe Family. I'm heartbroken of finding out of the loss of Mr. "D". He was like a father I never had, besides a wonderful teacher and friend. Mr. D had a wonderful heart. I will never forget when my house burnt down New Years Eve morning, I was devastated and did not know where I was going to live. My parents moved to Levittown, and I moved with a friend, so I could complete my last year at Frankford. It was Mr. D that help me deal with all the adjustments I...

I had him as an English teacher in 7th grade at Harding. Jr. High. Later I knew him at Frankford . I always remember the day at Harding when he picked up and read the riot act to the class bully/wise guy. It worked and we were all glad he did it.

Mike and Pat and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. You have my deepest sympathies.

Mr. Donohoe was an excellent teacher who took great pride in his craft. As a teacher, he gave 100% of himself and expected the same of his students. My father, a man not easily impressed, met Mr. Donohoe on several occasions on parent teacher nights. He not only respected him, but looked up to him as what a teacher should be. I am very sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. I will keep Mr. Donohoe in my prayers....he was an excellent role model for us as students, and I am...

When I began my high school years, I was excited to become one of Mr. Donohoe's students. I knew from my sister Denise that Mr. D was a kind and compassionate teacher. He was our faculty advisor for the service club Thanatopsis and was always available to advise and encourage as we navigated our teen years. When our classmate, Nancy Stieber, was killed during our senior year he was there to comfort us. Thirty years after my high school graduation our dad passed, you can imagine how much...

My condolences to the family of Mr. D. He was my advisor at Frankford High 50+ years ago. Mr D was a fine man always interested in the welfare of his students. I wish I had kept in contact, so he would know what an impact he had in my life and of my own fulfilling career as a teacher. Blessings!
