Ficarra, Francis J.
Francis J. (Frank) Ficarra of Fairfield, the loving husband of Stephanie (Lloyd) Ficarra for over thirty-one years, died at home on July 28, 2013 after a courageous fight with cancer. In addition to his wife, Frank leaves behind his loving son, Robert Ficarra and daughter, Anniekaye Ficarra. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 29,1957, the son of the late Robert Ficarra and Claire (Arnold) Ficarra. He graduated from Fordham Preparatory School, Bronx, NY. He went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Bates College and a law degree from Quinnipiac Law School. He ran a law practice in Bridgeport for many years.
Frank was devoted to his children and loved attending their track meets and hockey games. He loved to cook, go to yard sales, travel, and spend time with his family. In addition to his wife and children he is also survived by his two brothers and their wives, Robert and Shawn Ficarra of Brooklyn, NY and Thomas and Lorraine (Olashaw) Ficarra of Concord, NH; his three sisters and their husbands, Marie and David Schoen and Jean and Richard Hayes both of Brooklyn and Claire and Kevin Gohn of Farmingdale, NY; two nieces, Katy and Meg Ficarra of Concord, NH; a nephew, David Schoen of Brooklyn; his mother-in-law Catherine Lloyd of Fairfield and sister-in-law Valerie Lloyd of Hackensack, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center. Interment is private. Friends may greet his family on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dear Stephanie & kids, going through my emails today I come across this. I still can't believe it. I have so many awesome amazing memories shared with Frank the firm you and the children. I learned so much from him not just at work but, he was understanding giving helpful and so much more. I pray peace Love & comfort for all of you.
