Not sure what to say?

I am Stephen J. Welden's son, Patrick Jason Welden, and I remember meeting my grandfather for the first time. He was a very nice man and he gave me a John Deere mini tractor to play with. it is sad to hear that he passed and I wish I had gotten to know him better.

Rest in peace my friend you are truly missed!

I never met Frank, but I must have talked to him via radio for at least 10 years. He was a Helluva Nice Guy and a Great American! Rest in Peace W5RNF!

It was a HONOR to make contsct with W5RNF on his nightly spot. I knew Frank for a year or so but he always made me fell right at home with his group.
Frank enjoy the golden key God has given you.

I was priveleged to know Frank via ham radio. He was very knowlegble on a wide variety of subjects besides ham radio. I will truly miss hearing his wonderful voice over the airwaves. Rest in peace Frank.

I had so many wonderful visits with Frank
through the Net he ran over Ham Radio each day. I was privledged to meet him in person in St. Louis, Mo about 6 years ago. I will deeply miss hearing his voice coming into my home over the Ham Bands. Rest in peace my friend !

Dan, W9DAN

I enjoyed many, many enjoyable QSO's (Ham radio conversations) with Frank on the "Good Ol' Boys Group" on 40 meters in the evening. He was a very knowledgeable in a host of subjects. What he didn't know right then, he knew where to look for the information, and give it to you with your next contact. I still use one of his antenna designs today!
My deepest condolences to his entire family.
73'es Ol' friend!

Frank was a longtime friend. We had many good times together. Especially visiting museum ships and aircraft museums. Most memorable was operating ham radio on the bridge of the battleship Texas. The wife and I attended breakfast with him once a week. We miss him.
