Sorry to learn that your father was ill prior to leaving for HOME. He was an outstanding person in our community and thank you for sharing his life's accomplishments via the news. He was a gentle man.

Please accept my deep and sincere condolences on your recent loss. I served as a Wayland, MA Call Firefighter from 1965-1974 under Chief Hartin's leadership prior to moving on to a full-time Public Safety Dispatcher within the Town of Wayland, a position I still hold today.
