Francis X. Herbert

I recently learned of Franks passing. I too worked with him at Bellcore. He was gregarious, charming and a true gentleman. He always spoke proudly and with love of his family.

I worked with Frank at Bellcore, where he was our specialist on legislative and governmental matters, particularly what was happening in Trenton, that might affect the company. He did a terrific job, reviewing hundreds of bills, etc. After we both retired Frank remained a friend, and we often lunched with other retirees from Bellcore for spirited conversations about politics, sports,etc. A great guy and fun to be with. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.

Frank Herbert was a teacher of mine at Secaucus High School. While I never had him for English, during my senior year, he taught a class on Public Speaking (while he was a senator). He helped shape my future life, ultimately as a trial lawyer, and truly showed me how much fun it could be to speak in Public.
