Not sure what to say?

I think I spent most of my spare time at the Holsclaw home growing up....sometimes more than my own. Gary adored his dad, and Fritz couldn't have been prouder of all of his children. I remember him as a typically stoic and firm leader of both his home and his Command. He was pretty quiet but he showed a great deal of kindness and patience with our antics and needs. "Col. Holsclaw" was the only person I felt comfortable flying with, especially taking off from the Foresthill "airstrip". ...

Fritz and Clare's son, Gary, was the inspiration for the Memorial Day ceremony at Del Oro High School. A truly great Loomis kid and Golden Eagle. Gary's family was very proud of him, and loosing him in Vietnam left a huge void for all of us.

With loving memories of MANY years of friendship and life. Rest in Peace old friend -

Gen. Holscalw took the 162nd to new heights and accomplishments, making it a standout in the Mobile Communications community. I am proud to have served under him at the 222 CCS in Costa Mesa. Msgt. Conrad Neumann, CAANG, USAF, Ret.

I remember how happy he was on the frequent weekends that his dad would fly down to spend time with him when we were at Pendleton. He was understandably very proud of his father. Gary was a special guy and a fantastic Marine. ...
