Our thoughts and prayers are with you

Dear Kuhajda Family,
I was a classmate and friend of Frank's @ Joliet West. Frank's dad, the "Coach", was one of my Phys Ed instructors as well. Young Frank was inspirational to many people, even in high school. I remember in particular his performance as Dr. Chumley in the Joliet West production of "Harvey" that I also worked on. In one scene Dr. Chumley slammed a phone receiver into its cradle. In this performance, the receiver broke in half, one half flying across the stage. What was...

Dear Kuhajda family,
Frank was a chief resident or junior faculty and personal mentor when I was a medical student doing an autopsy subinternship in 1981. He gave me memorable advice on becoming a good pathologist, " You've just gotta look at the glass," meaning to spend a lot of time at the microscope. I have made that advice a personal mantra and have passed it on to many students and residents over the years, citing Frank each time. Even though I have seen him only once or twice...

Frank has been my professor who helped me and encouraged me using FAS for my researches in Rome, Italy. I will miss him so much.

Dear Kuhajda Family,
I am very sorry for your loss and would like to express my deepest condolences. Dr. Kuhajda was a great attending with a wonderful sense of humor and he was a pleasure to be around. He will be missed.

Dear family of Dr. Kuhajda,
Frank has left a very long legacy of good humor and amazing wit, going back all the way to high school. I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of those people you just knew would make a positive contribution to the world and remain humble about it. Sending up prayers that your family will find comfort in all their memories and the encouragement he gave to them and others.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I had the opportunity to occasionally work with Frank at the hospital. He was always a source of wisdom and good sense. Marc Sussman

I worked for almost three years with Frank at Bayview and I was really impressed and enthralled by the man. He was an excellent pathologist and scientist. He cared greatly about his work, colleagues and family. I'll miss him a lot. May his soul rest in eternal peace. My sincerest condolences to all the family.

I was shocked to get the news. I was just thinking the other day about how long it's been since I'd seen Frank. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
