Francis H. Lawrence Sr.

Francis H. Lawrence, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 89 years old and a native of Meraux, LA (New Orleans). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired mechanic with Greyhound Bus Lines with 27 years of service. Francis was a member of Maranatha Fellowship Church of God in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his son Harry Lawrence and daughter-in-law Johnette Lawrence, grandchildren Matthew Lawrence and Wendi Lawrence Wilkinson (husband Kyle), great-grandchildren Angel Lawrence, Christal Lawrence, Adyn Wilkinson, Harper Wilkinson, Scout Wilkinson. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife Virgie Phillips Lawrence, parents Paul and Myrtle Lawrence, a sister Thelma Waguespack, brothers Paul, Eddie and Gerald Lawrence. A memorial service for Francis and Virgie will be held at a later date. Rabenhorst Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
