Francis (Frank) Boyd Moore

I've struggled for several days how appropriately to express my wonderful memories of Frank. It would take too many words here to cover this fine man. So I shall refer to words I wrote in 2019 about him and his splendid family: see www.peterhwolf.blog, Post No. 24, pp. 16-20. He graciously helped me become a Washington trial judge, which I was for 40 years. Need I say more? A true and lasting friend.

Thank you all for the lovely remembrances. The memorial service will be on June 14th at 11 AM at the Dahlonega Methodist Church, 107 S Park St, Dahlonega, GA.

Frank Moore was an extraordinarily kind and generous person . . . and funny to boot. He was important support for me when I was a (very) young man working in the Caryer White House, and an even more important support for me during my recovery some 45 years later. He didn't have to call, but he did .. . because that's the kind of man he was. Thank you for your time on earth, Frank. Godspeed.

Frank was my lifelong friend and colleague both in GA government and the White House. Frank was a good man, like his mentor and mine, former president Carter. He was smart, honest and great with people. He loved Nancy and his four children and grandchildren very much and they should all be proud of their father and grandfather. I suspect Frank is on his way to re-unite with all his friends and colleagues who predeceased him. I look to see him again when my time comes. Goodby my friend...

Frank and I became friends when he moved into The Gates of SSI. I will never forget the day when President Jimmy Carter came to have lunch with him with 2 black SUV,´s with security and several of the grounds guys went to hide. I always enjoyed talking with and listening to stories about his great life experiences.

I was a teenage kid in DC growing up next door to Frank, Nancy and their family. They were a second family to me. Countless great memories of Frank and the whole Moore family. I´m so glad I had the chance to share wonderful stories and memories with Frank several months ago at Nancy´s funeral. When my daughter turned 16 this year we got on the phone with Frank so he could serenade her with a birthday song. It was a classic Frank Moore moment. A wonderful friend and neighbor. A life of...

Sending all our love to the Moores. Frank will be greatly missed. I loved his big smile and how he was always ready with a song. What a great legacy he has left. I know his positive spirit will live on through his wonderful children and grandchildren! RIP Frank.
