Dear Sheila and everyone. Jerry Spike just contacted me. I am out of the country and feel so sorry that I couldn't be there... I would have gone anywhere for you and your family. Fran was a great friend and mentor. I owe much of my career to him and his guidance. Please know that i will always be here to help you and your children and grandchildren if there is ever anything I can do. Again, I am so sorry that I wasn't there to comfort you and pay my respects. Dear Sheila, some of my fondest memories are of you and Fran during our time at MHS. Occassionally I hear Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons" and smile, remembering how Fran loved that song. I wish for you the comfort of memories. Donna

I am so sorry to read of Franny's passing. I was older than he but always regarded him as a sweet boy - always so friendly and smiling. So sorry to hear this sad news. Fran was my closest friend growing up in Medford through grammar school and junior high. He was like my big brother and protector even though I was slightly older. One of my fondest memories of Franny is that he was always being questioned about his age when we went to movies, events, etc. that allowed you in free or at a reduced price if you were under 12. He started carrying an ID (birth certificate) when he was 10.
