He was a wonderful man´s and teacher. I think of him often. Michael Moore Class of 1975 high honors grad.

He truly was an incredible person.

I think about him often. His presence is close, but still miss him like hell.

On days like these, I wish you were here to for some much needed conversation and guidance. But because you have been constantly on my mind lately, I realize that you are... I miss you my friend.

He was funny and wise. He had a sparkling gleam in his eyes. Father Murphy was good hearted. He had a good amount of knowledge to pass on to the rest of us.

God Bless you Fr. Murphy. I am fortunate to have known you and sorry I didn't get a chance to say thank you one final time. Rest in Peace Murph. Your friend, Tobs

In 1992, as a Boston College sophomore, I unfortunately showed no savviness whatsoever in sporting a Georgetown T-shirt the first day of classes. Fortunately, however, I did have enough luck to end up in Murph’s packed European History class in McGuinn.
