Dear Kevin and O´Brien Family, I was saddened to hear the news of Fran´s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have fond memories of playing against your dad´s teams at MIT, Holy Cross and Harwich. I had the utmost respect for him as a teacher, coach and a person. Fran exemplified what a quality coach and person should be. Harvey Shapiro College Baseball Coach Cape League Coach

Coach O´Brien is THE STANDARD by which Coaches and Mentors are measured A GREAT MAN Rick DeAngelis HC 1970 & A FRIEND

I played college basketball for Coach O'Brien for 4 years at MIT (1974-78; team captain '78). I learned more from him that use in my career and life every day than from any of my science professors: the importance of hard work, dedication, and team. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace

No wonder his favorite expression was "Love you more."
