Not sure what to say?

Sara and family: I was so sorry to read of your father's death. I remember him as a very kind soul, caring and welcoming to his childrens' friends.

To the Summers Family - My sympathy for your loss. I was Psych dept secretary in the early 70's. Dr. Summers would come in the office with a smile and a joke. I enjoyed working with him.

To the Family of Fran Summers,
Our condolences to the loved ones of Fran Summers. He was a great friend and colleague...and we always enjoyed our conversations with him. What a funny guy who always had a smile on his face and a great joke to tell. We will miss him.

Dr. Summers was a favorite professor of mine. He was intelligent and always made time for his students. He was soft spoken and a true gentleman He was very proud of his family and spoke of them often. He will be greatly missed but his legacy lives on.

I was fortunate to have had Francis as a colleague, mentor and friend at EIU. He exemplified the role of a master teacher by helping, assisting, listening and just being a warm and supportive colleague. And above all, his keen sense of humor, personified by that constant knowing smile, helped many of us faculty through some interesting and challenging times. My wife Linda and I send our sincere and warm thoughts and prayers to his lovely family. Bill Kirk

I will always have fond memories of Francis from church and from the short time I helped take care of him at Gowin Parc. He was a special person.

I will always remember your dad as a man with a ready smile and a warm "hello"! How lucky you are to have with you always and he you.

To the Summers Family, We are so sorry to hear the news of Francis's death. May your happy memories comfort you all at this difficult time, Con and Mary Lynn Whalen

Susan and family, my deepest sympathy for your loss.
